…and I think it’s also worth noting that she was the one who killed off Sombra the first time, having wrote that two-parter, and she wrote Twilight’s Kingdom, which had Tirek dragged right back to Tartarus by the end.
So it’s probably debatable actually,
if she ever had a Chrysalis redemption in mind, considering the lack thereof with the aforementioned villains, with two of said villains being dead (her Word of God statement was, Sombra died).
She also wrote Chrysalis’ debut episode, which did have her get blown out of Canterlot, and it wasn’t laying the sympathy thick on her then, if you look past the fanon.

I remember feeling the nagging doubt, on the preconception I had that Chrysalis wouldn’t be reformed, when I first saw this, how people were calling it with confidence that she would based on it, but…
From “Yeah we’re gonna reform everybody.” right up until the last batch came back and the world of Equestria was like “Eh fuck it. Rainbow beam them into stone like with Discord so the new batch of realm defenders can reform them for us.“

Yeah, we finally get three villains who didn’t want to be reformed and everybody still cried foul because one of them was a kid.
Well, they’re going to have to do a massive ass-pull to bring Sombra back to even have a chance at redemption. He was blown into shit bits 6 years ago.

There are a lot of characters who deserve a chance for redemption (Dusty, Suri etc.) but those three just don´t want it no matter how many chances they get.
Reform of Tirek? Just don’t see it happening for the simple fact that this guy is simply a tremendous a-hole.
Are you implying that the show will teach little girls to follow weird guys who offer them candy because they can be reformed ?

your current filter.Sombra- A tyrannical dictator who forcibly enslaved an entire nation and as seen in his timeline would’ve brainwashed the crystal ponies in a hellish war against equestria against their free will.
Tirek- A psychopathic megalomaniac who gladly betrayed his only ally to gain more power and as seen in his timeline would’ve destroyed equestria for no reason other than he can which would’ve likely resulted in the near extinction of the ponies who failed to flee from his rampage.
Chrysalis- A selfish, sadistic and sociopathic queen who was willing to kill the changeling who was trying to introduce a better way of life for the changelings all so that she could retain her absolute power over them and do i even have to mention how she took glee in all the pain she caused others? Hell her song back in canterlot wedding has her admitting that she’s wanted to see equestria enslaved ever since she was young that’s not the kind of person, pony, changeling whatever who could be reasoned with.
I swear that better not be the case because the truth is whether it’s fiction or real life there are those who can never be reasoned with no matter how much you try.

I fully expect it to turn on her because it’s made out of good people. Or Starlight tells it to.
