That was my headcanon for her at first, that she was the pharoah’s guardian, he and his civilization had long-since passed on, and she was just left still guarding the pyramid.

It would actually make for a pretty mature “racism is bad” episode to have one of them just be a racist kind of product of their time, and the moral is “it’s wrong but they’re not a bad person”, y’know? :P
