I can’t really give a full walk through but here are some pro tips:
-Move that hue slider around. Even if you only adjust it by a little bit just get comfortable moving it around frequently
-Ditch your sketch as soon as you can. Like, as soon as you can tell where all the parts are without your sketch, leave it. It’s okay to tun it back on every now and then if you need it but it usually gets in the way of you seeing what your painting looks like.
-If your painting is looking too light or too dark you can always use the magic of digital art to save you, just move a exposure/colour depth/whatever slider around till it looks right again
-Learn to render simple shapes like cubes and spheres on their own if your having trouble with painting a character. Also if you’re having trouble figuring out how light should hit them, cel shading is a good thing to practice
-Don’t export paintings as gifs. Seriously this thing looks like trash and is making me angry as I type
-Don’t be afraid to paint over stuff you’ve already put time into if you don’t think it’s working out
-Stay hydrated
this is kinda a broad overview of what I’m doing? idk lemme know if there are more specific things you want me to cover
