Course, it might also be both. The tree might be recharged enough to surrender the Elements again. It might also be neither. I don’t know. I’m certainly curious to see where they take this though.

Sunburst discovering something big in Starswirl’s writings that he absolutely has to tell Twilight – and ending on a cliffhanger, too – seems a family logical lead into that.
Heading away from facts and into guessing territory, there’s the possibility that what Starburst is bonding over with Twilight in “Uncommon Bond” is in fact Starswirl’s journal.
