That would not properly convey their relationship from the show. There are hints that they are more than friends.
I think you get me wrong. By “friends” i didn’t mean couple but just friends. “” wasn’t used here to show some kind of metaphor. ;)

Dunno how it is in your country, but in PL janitors and students are almost always in best relations (probably beacause janitors don’t care what kids are doing on breaks between lessons). So “friends” wouldn’t be weird.
No, he would be too wierd knowing how close he is to Fluttershy in FiM. He should appear as either teenager or another ageless spirit.
