If I decided to not name those individuals and instead selecting Tim Pool, it is because I find those men rather unreliable. Alex Jones in particular says many truthful things, but his sources are unreliable and goes for the hottest gossip with limited fact checking.

etc etc etc.You can probably a lot of the spearhead of the alt-”””“media”””” on any list of inidividuals suspended from Twitter.Internet amateurs are a threat to democracy
The chaos of the internet allows for censorship not based on the blocking of information, but on making available information unusable – by drowning it out with garbage and Internet is a never ending supply of garbage. If you believe in alt-media,you’ll just find yourself searching for sex dungeons in pizzeria eventually

“/pol/ is not news,
Bold faced lieThey fancy themselves as that

“and at least Breitbart has not threatened young men over a meme. In fact, considering the hostile memes directed at Breitbart and Info Wars personnel, they have a lot more ground to threaten people than CNN.”

Oh i’m relieved.Breitbat may be propagating lies and discrimation but at least they didnt misinterperted memes. It’s okay, for a moment,i thought there was a problem.Yep totally have the high forund there, they cant propagate bullshit like sex dungeons in pizzeria narrative that lead to the election of a largely underqualified tv reality star to the White House because the memes were funny

“There are of course people such as Sargon of Akkad and Steven Crowder, who, despite not being journalists, are also better sources than those alleged “news outlets”.”
Please read The Cult of The Amateur from back to cover before saying nonsense like that

“Refusing to acknowledge the lack of integrity of MSM news right now “
And who’s going to replace them ? Internet aka the septic tank of fake news ? Good luck with that. What we need is a strong mainstream media that find back its integrity to counter the war on truth orchestrated by an anrmy of amateurs who have no ideas of what the job of journalist mean

/pol/ is not news, and at least Breitbart has not threatened young men over a meme. In fact, considering the hostile memes directed at Breitbart and Info Wars personnel, they have a lot more ground to threaten people than CNN.

Nobody would say Breitbart and Info Wars are exempt from bias, but at least in terms of ethics they are better.

Now, if you ask me who I consider trust worthy, I would refuse to say Breitbart or any other “alt-media” as you call it, and rather point at individuals instead of outlets.

For example, despite his inflamatory behavior, Paul Joseph Watson is trust worthy, and since I named someone on the right, I will name someone on the left. Tim Pool is trust worthy, and if I may say, a lot more trust worthy than mister Watson. In fact, so far Tim Pool is a man I would list on my top 10 most ruthful journalists. Of course, the most trust worthy are, as it has always been, independent journalists not working for any corporation and avoiding any personal agenda.

There are of course people such as Sargon of Akkad and Steven Crowder, who, despite not being journalists, are also better sources than those alleged “news outlets”.

If you want to add someone you consider trust worthy in that regard, you should do so, regardless of their political leaning. I think it is time we, as the audience, and with the capabiliy allowed by the internet, start to look for the truth ourselves by comparing the information exposed in different sources.

I am sure there are liberal, left, and in general “progressive” news outlets and journalists with some integrity. CNN, and most mainstream oulets and journalists however are not in that list.
Refusing to acknowledge the lack of integrity of MSM news right now is like refusing to acknowledge the often publicly portrayed lack of integrity of Fox News.

Gotta trust the media of the future, the alt-media and their shinning example of intergrity like Breitbart or /pol/.

The End wasn't The End - For those that found a new home

That day I also learned nobody understands what a (hastily-added) legal disclaimer from CNN looks like. Or how the whole damn thing works.
  • Guy is part of the reason for the gif, the president tweets gif, this makes everything about it relatively newsworthy, including the creator/sender/poster.
  • CNN, using investigative journalism, tracks down that guy basically to get a comment on what he thinks about the president tweeting that gif.
  • The guy freaks out because he’s been spoiled by anonymity, begs to not become part of the news. CNN doesn’t really need him for their news, so they agree to his request.
  • And to cover their asses legally, like most people are wont to do, put out a legal disclaimer. Basically, if the guy does not want to become newsworthy, all he has to do is not do his thing again which the president apparently finds tweet-worthy.

“The apology came after CNN’s KFile identified the man behind “HanAholeSolo.” Using identifying information that “HanAholeSolo” posted on Reddit, KFile was able to determine key biographical details, to find the man’s name using a Facebook search and ultimately corroborate details he had made available on Reddit.” -CNN

Nope, not doxxing.

“After posting his apology, “HanAholeSolo” called CNN’s KFile and confirmed his identity. In the interview, “HanAholeSolo” sounded nervous about his identity being revealed and asked to not be named out of fear for his personal safety and for the public embarrassment it would bring to him and his family.
CNN is not publishing “HanA**holeSolo’s” name because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again. In addition, he said his statement could serve as an example to others not to do the same.
CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change.” -still CNN

Nope, not threatening into silence.
