I can guarantee that the majority of you who finds fart jokes unfunny and unoriginal are the same people that laughed at fart and burp jokes when Shrek was in theaters, and those same people were children back then.
 
Hell, if the fart and toilet jokes were done by Deadpool or Duke Nukem, then you would laugh your butts off. Do not deny because I know that people on this site loves Deadpool.

It is. The one guy who used the original show to cope with a painful childhood just call these guys pansies and is re-watching the original. If one bad movie ruined your childhood, you didn’t have one to begin with.

Calling it: the next special will open with a pointless sex(-implied) scene involving Catwoman and Alfred Pennyworth.

I thought it was alright? Way better than Killing Joke. It felt like a middle of the road episode of the new adventures of batman and robin
 
People tend to forget Bruce Timm’s run on Batman hardly went without it’s fair share of duds and missteps.
 
Also Nightwing has been an adult for decades now…the timmeverse Grayson in particular for over 20 years

I never put Timm on much of any pedestal so much as I just thought the DC Animated Universe was well done.

I always saw Timm as a great painter turned utterly mediocre designer who people give more credit than he ever deserved; as a designer, he’s just barely above Scooby-Doo level, which is NOT a mark anyone should aspire to as a cartoonist, and everything else that may’ve seemed at the least decent about the DC-related works he was involved in are someone else’s responsibility. I for one am grateful that Killing Joke and this happened so that everyone can finally stop working his shaft and start questioning the pedestal they ever placed him on, but I’m sure it’s going to take a third strike before we can safely consider the once-sacred cow good and tipped.

There’s a scene in which Harley Quinn and Nightwing are implied to have sex, which just doesn’t feel needed for anything other than fan service. The problem is, no one cares about that, especially not with these designs that are clear throwbacks to BTAS/TNBA which, while they had some adult content here and there, were aimed at all audiences. It’s the equivalent of thinking that the way to take something people liked as kids and make it relevant for them now, is to just throw in more adult content even if it’s not necessary.

I was a young teenager at the time I started watching his shows, so I was all about ole Timm sneaking in sexuality into his cartoons from the go.
