There isn’t really anything inherently wrong with the picture, I was mostly referring to the fact it’s both pointless to use PNG in this case, and even more pointless to leave the size at 5184x3456, since not even 4k displays can fit that and the absolute majority of the picture is out of focus anyway.  
As for the picture itself, maybe just don’t use such thick lines, at least not everywhere - in particular it shouldn’t be such a challenge to make out what the hell is actually going on in the eye area.  
About colors being washed out and flat, I guess that was intentional given the subject.
