Lunar Supporter - Helped forge New Lunar Republic's freedom in the face of the Solar Empire's oppressive tyrannical regime (April Fools 2023).

2. Maybe it’s an unspoken law because it’s bullshit.
3. G1 was animated by 2 studios - South Korean and Japanese. So it makes sense that it may be ‘animesque’.

The Secret of NIMH (1982), The Last Unicorn (1982), The Plague Dogs (1982), The Black Cauldron (1985), The Brave Little Toaster (1987), The Land Before Time (1988), Oliver and Company (1988), The Little Mermaid (1989) and All Dogs Go to Heaven (1989). (Some examples may be debatable, but probably not all.)

But the FIRST G1 ep was much different than the whole rest of the series.

We can’t really know if windigoes died, we only see them struggling with magical fire, maybe it just blew them away.

Philomena and that unnamed pony buried in S02E17, however…

2000s kids are all pansies, at least that’s what parents think. I’ve heard people complain their G3 raised daughters cried while watching G1.

There were much possibility of Tirek return, he seemed to have been trow in some kind of vortex in the sky then the vortex explode. It would be easy to say that he was send somewhere before it close.

The deal with king sombra is about if he could have a return to be develop, not that much about how hard his death was if he is dead.

I rewatched RaMC and it seems he actually died off-screen. I’d say Lavan had more gruesome death because, like Sombra, we see him shatter to pieces onscreen.

80’s cartoons and movies laid a lot of foundations for many cartoon cliche.

That wasn’t even the only one. They blew Lavan to smithereens in season 2.

But G4 isn’t over yet. I’m sure they will kill more bad guys. Give them time.

I agree with Elric. For example in He-Man and She-Ra, no matter what they wouldn’t kill the villains even when they had the chance.

MLP was just too badass to be contained by this though.

Having been a kid in the 1980s, I can assure you that on-screen death was not common. Watch some old episodes of GI Joe; every single plane that gets shot to pieces has a parachute appear because the pilot made it to safety. Every. Single. One.

Kids have to know about these negatives in life as part of their development process as they will encounter these type of things in life and have to learn how to deal with them.

Overprotectiveness is counterproductive.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

I forget who said it, but a phrase I like is that kids can handle anything, as long as there’s a happy ending. It’s not something the owners of children’s programming are willing to go with easily, I assume.
