The only statement she gave is that she never meant any of the ponies to be sexual. However, the writers decided that would be boring for Rarity, and even if that wasn’t the case, she has had no say beyond Season 1. Word of Faust does not apply, and she is intentionally veigue about it.
 
If character development in season 1 and season 2 inplies that she is most likely bisexual, then she is most likely bisexual.

@Background pony, I know it’s not canon, but it doesn’t stop me. If fanon is destroyed by canon there’s no reason to be upset, it’s a cartoon show about magical talking ponies. So why get upset about something like a shipping pair not being canon?

I’d say there’d be a lot of butthurt shippers, who are mostly male, who insist on making every character lesbians, even going as far as gender swapping male characters, because their opinions on the characters sexuality isn’t treated as canon fact.

Personally on this topic I’m a shipper, but that’s just what I like. I know a lot of people don’t like it and a lot of people do like shipping RD with practically everyone. The best thing to do is sure you can talk about shipping her in a lesbian fanfic with other people that like it, but if someone hates shipping or is opposed to the idea of her being in f/f relationship then don’t talk about it with them. By the flip coin if you think she’s straight then don’t try and start a shitstorm with people that think she is.
 
Basically what I’m getting at is different folks, different strokes and that’s okay everybody just calm down and realize it’s okay to go both ways(no pun intended) on the topic of whether or not she’s lesbian, bi or whatever so long as you aren’t being a prick about it and they aren’t being a prick about it either.
 
I know the whole “love and tolerate” thing started out as a internet joke within the fandom, but harmony isn’t about making your opinion be the last one standing, it’s about unity regardless of difference of opinion or what your views upon it are.
 
I have a friend who is annoyed by any sort of shipping whether it’s a gay, lesbian or straight shipping and likes to keep the fandom as close to the show as possible and that’s okay. Do I go out of my way to try and bug him about the fact I ship appledash or rarijack? No. Sure I may poke fun once in a while, but it’s cause I’m being silly.
