Technically, you are correct. But, in this context, it’s more like “Attention!” or “Sir!”, giving your superior a form of greeting. It’s usually given with a salute (as shown). Not sure what’s the closest thing for non-Korean army is. My marine friend tells me “Ura!”, if it helps.
