IMHC parasprites require maturation magic to turn into nymphs, the young form of changelings. Changelings lay eggs which become larvae which become parasprites.

Maybe the Changelings and Parasprites are similar to the creatures in Tremors 2 & 3. Parasprites are like the Shriekers & Changelings are like the Assblasters(Minus the explosive liftoff).

Huh, I see where you’re coming from. The only trouble is that Parasprites reproduce by basically puking out offspring, which completely circumvents the idea in becoming Changelings
