Well, when he’s still a puppy he live in Fluttershy’s animal shelter. That blue collar must had been given by Fluttershy (maybe even had Flutttershy’s name on it) and when he’s adopted by Zippoorwhill, she obviously change it to put her name as the owner.

They… never said it was her one year anniversary of coming to Ponyville. They just said it was her anniversary of coming there, without specifying the years.
I think the one year thing comes from the fact that the Cheese episode was Dash’s one year anniversary of coming there, as well as her birthday.
Since S4E1? Most likely. But there had already been two winters between S1E1 and S4E1, so at LEAST 2 years had to have passed in that time.
Surely at least a year has passed since that episode.

No, definitely not; only one year passed between S1E1 and S4E1, among other pieces of evidence.
Given the Hearth’s Warming Eves, it’s probably been about 2 1/2 to 3 years since the series started.

I thought every show season is a whole year and the episodes we see are the biggest highlights we get to watch, as the rest of what happens in between is just day-to-day life stuff and what not.
Two, unless we assume that’s a different dog. Occam’s razor says otherwise though.
