Alicorn of the Moon to be specific, which might also have an effect.  
It’s possible Celestial might not be able to survive on the moon but could survive just fine on the sun.

No, the bacteria responsible for decomposition also die.  
You’d more end up with a mummy as the water inside evaporated away due to the vacuum, before freezing due to the cold and falling to the ground around his desiccated corpse.
 
Assuming there isn’t atmosphere on Equestria’s Moon, of course, in which case he’d starve to death and then probably turn into a mummy due to the probably lack of native life.
