Posting from my hospital bed. Thank you so much, suspega. Still waiting to get my gallstones then gallbladder out. The waiting is soul-crushing but this is super awesome and appreciated.
God and Jesus bless you my brother.
I can probably color it at some point if there’s interest for it, yeah, eventually.
I’ve gotten to the point where nothing hurts anymore, yeah, pretty much fully recovered though I’m still not supposed to try and lift anything heavy for another month yet. Being a little more lenient on my carbs/fat so I can try to further cut back on the sugar, means I’m cooking chicken pretty much every 2 or 3 days, occasionally doing a top round steak. (which is fine by me since it’s cheap and I like mine on the tough side.)
Also hope you get better man

Afaik, my future diet will be pretty much the same as my current low fat, preferably also low sugar (to help avoid becoming diabetic b/c overweight) diet. Except if I cheat on it a little, it’ll just slide through me and be a little uncomfortable instead of causing a week+ long gallbladder attack.
Oooh, jeez, yeah that’s no fun…
I’ve gotten about 6 hours of sleep since Saturday night. Pretty sure when they start putting me under I will be snoring.
No memory = unconscious.
Basically you’re out. I wouldn’t worry about it.
I’ve had a few times where they turn on the gas or start the IV and after like twenty seconds I ask if I should still be awake, and don’t remember anything after that, heh.
They don’t start cutting for a long time, though, there’s no way that would sneak up on you. I mean, not like they’re psycopaths trying to torture you or anything, either. Just tell’em if you’re conscious when you think you shouldn’t be. They’ll tell you when they start the stuff, too.
It’s prescient how they nailed me lying with my feet crossed. But IRL I’m just in a hospital gown and compression socks with some air pumping massagers around my ankles to help avoid blood clots.
They let me have clear liquids for a bit when the endoscopic sweep wasn’t until today, but as mentally relieving as that actual water and jello were, still feeling some vague combo of hungry, nauseous and achy, but only at like a 1-2. Never been put fully under before. Twilight sedation for the ERwhatever and full sedation for the laparoscopic choleoestamy or whatever the word is. Shouldn’t remember either one but worried I’ll be semiconscious for the first even if afterwards I forget. That’s horrifying.

NPO for 4 days? Wouldn’t you die of dehydration? I guess not if IV water…
But yeah, I freaking hate NPO… Some of the worst misery is not having an unrestricted diet.
I’ve had so many procedures done at this point that I always think it’s kinda neat when you go under. It’s like fast-forwarding into the future. Less than half of the procedures/surgeries I’ve had done were really miserable afterwards, though.
Here’s to hoping for no complications and a swift recovery.
Here’s hoping. The waiting is the hardest part o/’
