Luna is egy, Sunset is just hiding.
Sunset Shimmer and Luna wore cloths, too. Does that make them edgy? Personally I wouldn’t consider a character to be edgy because he wears cloak and has a scar. His behavior so far, however, makes him come across as slightly edgy but right it’s still kind of neutral toward this character. Hopefully we learn more about his motives in the second book.
But they did give him a cloak and scars because “edgy” is what the artist was going for.
Hence the fun being poked at the choice to not just make him a normal looking male unicorn. Normal seemed to work fine for Sunset and Glimmer but the males got to be Sombra or this edgelord.
To be fair, he’s grey not black and he’s hardly the first character wearing a cloak.
Remove the scar and the cloak and he could pass as BG pony.
Pink magic.
It was the insincere apology aspect I was comparing.
Calling a princess a princess now considered edgy.
But being all black with red colored magic and a scar plus a cloak totally not edgy.
I think I found the Twi+Shadowlock shipper.
Remember what Sunset says as she steals the crown?
She pretty much says the equivalent of “nothing personnel kid”.
Meanwhile, this guy is comparatively less edgy to the point where we have to make edits to justify our edge jokes.
