It’s funny that for me any Decepticon I start to like more then Megas and then gets killed, apart from Soundwave, and it goes back to my G1 favs.

Prime and the Cybertron games are in the same canon, if you look to WoC you see that Megas DID see Screem was like that from the start.

I suppose but it seems like Dreadwing would have regained his composure after dealing with Starscream. And even if he wasn’t a major threat he’s still a thorn in Megatron’s side.
 
A thorn that could have been removed quite easily right then and there. With no potential of becoming infected and screwing him over later.

True. But I get the feeling Megatron knew Starscream was that kind of guy since the beginning. For Dreadwing, it was a major change in behaviour at a crucial moment. Far more dangerous. And they made it pretty clear in the previous episode that Starscream isn’t much of a threat to him.

You have to admit it would have been the better thing for Megatron to let him kill Starscream. I mean how many times has he betrayed or attempted to betray Megatron?
