Thought about it, it’s not the legs that are ‘sexy’, I think it’s the implication that Rarity made them. Form, function, dignity, badassery.  
That right there is why Rarity is the best pony, and one of the reasons why she’s a 10 no matter what.

Cybernetics suck man. You have to keep the hydraulics and wiring maintained all the time, or they seize up, and the battery doesn’t last very long. That, and they’re freakin’ heavy. And they’re hard to waterproof.

Rarity is best candidate for a cyborg because as a character, she’s fiercely independent and self-sufficient. Even if she has parents, I bet you she created her business without their help. They seem pretty clueless. She’s a small-business owner, and the caretaker of her young sister.
 
The idea that she’d lose all of her limbs, and then, rather than wallow in despair, she’d go and make herself new ones, by herself, just makes sense.
 
And is awesome.
