Yeah, 950 laughter shards just to unlock a crystal pony… Yup, the number is indeed ridiculous.  
But… On the bright side, at least it does not need 950 gems to unlock it. Dx

Yeah, I literally spend the whole day playing the god damn diamond cart mini game, just wanted to get enough laughter shards to unlock that stupid unnamed crystal pony… Dx

Yep… several people basically told me that when I posted this to the Facebook group for the game. Although I said a fair bit more there. (I use the same avatar picture there if you wanna find me)
 
I’m currently just trying to save up laughter shards to open the laughter crystal in the Crystal Empire right now…. not a damn clue why they made it basically a full stack of them to open it though. You need 950 of the damn things when 999 is the max you can get. So I have a bit to go before I can open it.
 
Anyway, I will probably keep playing this until I hit that paywall. Or if they completely screw up the game with a failed update. Not much point in playing it after that since I’m not giving them a penny, let alone $15+.

It’s currently 1700 gems to get the current new Nightmare Night costumes. Not counting what the rest of the mane 6’s costumes might cost when they are released.
 
So $102 to get the current new sets… and it seems to be for basically very little ‘reward’ for getting the mane 6 sets. All for what looks to be a Sailor Moon pony at the end.
 
Gameloft has completely lost my interest in these money grabbing events they constantly do. Would I like to have the costumes? Sure. Will I ever spend anything to get them aside from a few hours of my time getting 1-2 gems a day? No.
