That’s actually what I thought was supposed to be happening the first time I saw this image. That they, unbeknownst to Starlight, had had dealings with each other. Then I realized the obvious, and that I had overthought the image.
Plot-twist: The were talking to each other, and Starlight just over heard them talking.
I’m afraid I don’t get the reference, but if it does similar to what I described, then I assume so then.
Like Silver Chariot when it removes its armor.
I think people are getting confused by that. She wasn’t actually cloning or splitting herself. She was creating the illusion of being in two places at once with great speed. I.e. she was moving back and forth between the two positions so fast it appears she actually was in both places.
I think they were both projections of Starlight. I imagine she’d get very confused trying to control both bodies after a while.

That’d just end up a slappy fight considering none of them can do real magic. Then Starlight would end up having to put them in timeout.

It wasn’t shown in the the finale, it was shown in Every little thing she does, in the finale it is Thorax disguised as Starlight where as in the earlier episode it was actually two of her
