When you’re 30…Yes. 30 is not yet THAT old. And it’s an important realization that grown-ups aren’t fundamentally different, they can have dreams, they can be cool. But changes are something you realize in the process. And I think you’re slowly removed from teen self with the decades.
But as for being different from my KID self even as a young adult, hell ye! Kid me was incredibly awkward. And I suspect old senile me is going to be too.
That’s basically why we have the “becoming a grown-up” thing, between kid and teen you change a LOT and then as an adult not so much and only slowly. Well except for people who go through lots of life changing events, from opportunities to hardships & tragedies. Which, I guess, happens to everyone too.
