I don’t know if it’s always one person though, as it only happens on occasion. Could be several, but the admins aren’t concerned about it, and haven’t really been looking into it.
 
We used to get different ones actually. Like the “chikkun face expression” meme used to get widely mass-uploaded spammed here, but it died off after people started filtering & ignoring it. Unfortunately, the Sanik-haters won’t do that with Sonic, because they get aroused by downvoting & complaining on said Sonic pics due to their irrational hate of a ’90s game character, which just encourages the troll/s to makemore Sanik mass-upload spam.  
As a result, people get so sick of Sonic, they even downvote the good, or at least tolerable ones.
 
But yeah, I like Sonic too. I just ignore the bad pics.

Ahh, that answers my question. It’s always sort of baffled me how they keep happening after all this time. That takes dedication if it’s just one person doing it over and over. It’s not like we don’t ever get troll dumps (blackface Rainbow Dash, anyone?), but even then, it’s usually just a one-time thing.
 
I do want to make something perfectly clear, as I seem to have given the opposite impression: I have nothing against Sonic. I used to be a huge fan of the series, and have even made some fanart fairly recently: http://theowlgoesmoo.deviantart.com/art/Let-us-burn-things-together-626890002 , not to mention I like sneaking Blaze in when I can >>1239384 My question wasn’t meant to criticize the series, and certainly not crossovers (I’d be an enormous hypocrite if I did that: >>1118163 ) I’m just baffled as to why it keeps happening. One troll, doing it over and over again every few weeks… that’s honestly a little scary.

I actually like the Sanik pony.

You mean the Sonic mass upload spam sessions? I think somebody does that to troll the Sonic haters here.  
I think one admin said one person is doing it, but I don’t think they’re very concerned about it.
 
What can they do? Make it against the rules to post Sonic? Which would be rather silly, considering honestly all the “PONY crossed with random violent generic FPS game series number 12” images we have, and such.

Y’know, former storyboarder for MLP:FiM Sabrina/Sibsy is a Sonic fan.  
She stated Sonic CD with the USA soundtrack is her fav’ game in the series.
 
Also, writer Dave Polsky works on “Sonic Boom” too.

I’m well aware of that - I even have a soft spot for some of the characters myself. I never said they CAN’T be fans of both, but with how regular we get a deluge of Sonic/Pony art, I’m wondering who’s responsible for it.

I love both MLP and STH a lot. Together, well, I wouldn’t ship them, and ponifications don’t always look the best, but maybe one day I’ll try my own attempt at them. :v

Like it or not, there are many people who actually like MLP:FIM and STH. Deviantart.com and FIMFiction.net are full of fanarts and fanfics that have MLP:FIM and STH together.
