Worry
I DO NOT SHIP THESE TWO. I picture them like a brother and sister (not biologically, just pals)

Spitfire had just left lunch when she heard a whisper. “Psst!” She looked around, confused. “Psst!” She saw the janitor’s closet door move. Pushing open slowly, she saw the wonderbolt on the other side.
“Clipper?” The yellow mare blinked in confusion. “What are you doing in here?” She stopped, noticing how worried her friend looked. “Is something wrong? What happened?”
“Nothing yet,” Soarin replied, closing the door as Spitfire walked in. He glanced around. “I need your help.”
“Sure. With what?” Spitfire had never seen Soarin like this. Not her strutting, confident, teasing friend.
Soarin looked around again, as if scared somepony would hear him. He leaned closer. “With Dash.” A moment passed.
“Bwahaha!” Spitfire burst out laughing, rolling around on the floor. “You-you’re scared of Crash?!”
“Quiet!” Soarin hissed, clamping a rag over her mouth. She shoved it aside, still giggling.
“S-scared of C-Crash!”
“I’m not joking, ’Fire!” Soarin replied. The desperation in his voice caught the attention of the mare. She sat up and narrowed her eyes.
“Why is he scared of Crash…?” she mused, thinking aloud. Soarin glowered at her.
“I’m right here, you know.”
“Is it because she could kick his tail in a race?”
“Could NOT!”
“Or is it…..? It IS!!” Spitfire exclaimed, a look of wicked delight on her face. Soarin jumped at the shout.
“Quiet!” he grunted again. Spitfire sidled up next to him.
“Sooo…. When ya gonna ask Crash out?” She grinned as his face turned beet red. Bingo! She waited for him to reply. “Well?”
“That’s what I want to ask you about,” Soarin answered, looking sheepishly down at his hooves. “I… She….” he stammered, trying to NOT say something 100% embarrassing.
“Spit it out!” his friend barked, punching him.
WHAT IF I ASK HER OUT AND SHE SAYS NO?!?!” he shrieked. He clamped a hoof over his mouth and glanced at the door, hoping nopony had heard him. Spitfire blinked.
No? Why would Crash say no to YOU?!” Soarin looked at her.
“Why wouldn’t she?” he retorted. “We’ve only known each other for a couple months, she probably has a crush on somepony else and thinks I’m just a friend, and it would put her on the spot is I asked her to go out on a date.”
“Put her on the spot?” Spitfire repeated, a blank look on her face.
“You know. If she didn’t want to go out with me but didn’t want to make me feel bad,” he explained.
“Okay,” Spitfire began, “FIRST: You guys are best friends already and it’s only been, like, one and a half months. That tends to be a pretty good sign. SECOND: I’ve seen the way she gawks at you behind your back and drools all over herself just staring at you. You do have some sweet muscles,” she added, punching him in the arm.
“Ow.”
“…and FINALLY: I know Dash well enough to know that she would have the courage to say no to somepony she didn’t want to go out with. She’s not all beauty and makeup, you know,” she said, serious. “She’s pretty soft inside, but she’s strong enough to make her own decisions.” Soarin nodded glumly. “And I know that if she does want to go on a date with her, she wants you to be brave enough to ask her.”
Soarin straightened. “You’re right,” he said simply. “I can’t be a knock-kneed colt when I ask her out.” He stood and took a deep breath. “Now I just gotta find a place to ask her out to.”
“Atta boy!” Spitfire punched him encouragingly on the shoulder. “Go get ’er!” She grinned. This was the Soarin she knew. Confident, bold, and….
“Thanks for the help,” Soarin said, heading out the door. “Not that I needed any. I just wanted to make you feel good.” Spitfire narrowed her eyes.
..and annoying. “Is that so?” she asked. Soarin realized his mistake and began sprinting down the hall, Spitfire hard on his heels. “Come back and say you’re sorry!” she shouted at him.
“Help! Somepony!! Spitfire’s gone nuts!!!….Well, what’s new?” he asked himself jokingly. A locker door flew through the air. “OW!”

So, Soarin just over-thinking what will happen if he asks Rainbow Dash out. 🙂 It’s been so long since I posted anything!!!!!
I’ve sketched the next couple Soarindash pics, but I’m sorking on a pretty detailed commission, so it may be a while until I can work on them (not sure though)

Unfortunately, this is a trick. This isn’t shipping..the artist says so on their page. They only see them as a sibling type relationship and they ship him with guess who instead..which is really kind of an insult to have it in this ship tag.
