if they do return on their own, what does it feel like to be the splatter of a coreless goo pony?
Not that much. Liquid or not her body is still living cells that are vulnerable to blunt-force like any living cell. Just her fluidness reduces the blow (since it can displace around the object), and for like blades and arrows they just cut so cleanly into her that she barely even feels it, let alone it causing injury.
Well now I’m curious just what level of trauma would it take to actually be dangerous to the long term health of a coreless slimepone? Also I would assume that regardless of core status drying out is a death sentence or can they be rehydrated?
She doesn’t have a core, because after her first set of images I forgot to keep drawing it XD. So what I’ve kind of worked out is that, in my continuity, some have them and some don’t. The difference, of course, is the ones with cores are physically stronger, like they have more cohesion and dexterity and shapeshifting ability, at the cost of having a glaring weak point of course (damage to the core is basically instant death; it’s their brain, basically).
It’s not to say they’re more dangerous, of course, since in my continuity these creatures are rarely, if ever, aggressive or violent. Because they’re fairly simple-minded (not unintelligent though) and so resistant to physical attacks, they have no predators and thus are very unaggressive and passive.
Not always, if the core is highly damaged to being broken from the impact of the wall will cause the goo pony to melt and never reform in which death, if I’m correct… someone know if I’m right about this?
Ohhh… I got’cha…

As long as she can regroup she’d be fine. Her small separated bits can’t think and only instinctively try to return to the mass, so if she’s knocked completely apart and they for whatever reason can’t regroup, she’s stuck D:
@Blissey1
There are many places in a house where a goo pony could leap out and go boo, with a big creepy stretched silly-putty-newspaper-face…
Of course there’s many other things a crafty goo pony could do as well…
Oh god she’s gonna hide in his toilet, isn’t she
I’d think she’d be fine as long as she managed to keep enough of her mass together to be able to reach any seperated bits, or even if she’s too spattered out to do it herself, as long as she gets help recollecting.
@Alex Vostox
GMHAA just lept out of the closet doing this and she hurled herself into the wall in fear. She’s just so embarrassed and angry that she’s scolding him before she bothers to reform herself.
She’ll get him back.

@Gundlach
Yeah she tends to get a raw deal, what with being hassled by annoying adventurers, others assuming she’s acidic or dangerous, suffering literal freezing instead of brainfreeze if she eats ice cream too fast, and etc, but it’s just all the more reason she needs true friends in life… even if they do play tricks on her at times. He’ll just need to whip up a milkshake for her or something as an apology; these creatures thrive on very sugary foods.

:D
@Chicago Ted
She can be cute and be a modern art masterpiece :D
@Bionomaly
I don’t really know, to be honest. Something like this definitely wouldn’t injure her, but I never really gave any thought to exactly what her limits are involving being spread or separated into pieces.
Lol.
