The point here is, it was all very brief and very little in the way of conversation (you could say that only with Pinkie and AJ they even got anywhere, with Dash it just became obvious that she’s lived in a pop-cultural isolation for a while) and that was the only time this season she’s talked to any of them.

I don’t know. Apart from the song montage in the last minutes of S5 finale, I’ve personally felt like she’s more like a supporting character to Twilight this season, with the way her story relevance and appearances even in her own episodes have relied so much on her alone (even more so than Spike). She has barely interacted with the rest of the mane group, apart from her one real extremely quick exchange in No Second Prances which felt like padding until the actual plot kicked in.

Considering ep’s script was made by Confalone, I’ll say it’s one of his best episodes. Yeeeea.

Nothing personal, but you’re categorized as Discord-class Disaster. That’s definitely overestimation, but papers are papers.

To be honest, this episode sucked, in my opinion.

Let’s be fair: Twilight didn’t arrange the trip. Celestia did.
 
And if Fluttershy’s reaction is any indication, the Mane Six seem to have been told about it about half an hour before they had to be at the train station.

This is why she needs to make her own circle of friends rather than being forced onto the Mane 6. Comeon Twilight, take a page from Celestia’s book. Assign her to another city and force her to send friendship letters to ya.

“Hey Starlight, wanna go out on a trip?”
 
“No Twilight. I got work here. Work that you gave. When we left for the crystal empire I already got piles of unfinished papers pending, and besides, I found a really nice pen-pals quill set that I really want to try out.  
Speaking of quills, I wanted to restock our supply but the Quills and Sofa ran out of quills again, so I bought their sofas, pluck out the feathers from the pillows, and now we hundreds of low quality, disposable quills.”
 
“What do you do with the sofas if you only took their pillows?”
 
“I must admit, I did not think that far ahead.”
 
“…You’re getting rid of those sofas, clear? I want this place sofa-free when I get back. Make it top priority. Get it done”
 
“Yes boss.”

Maybe she was busy helping Trixie with her magic tour or was still staying with Sunburst to catch up on some lost time

This way they can also get rid of people who just come there to complain about their complaining. They can even start a hashtag movement with it and take it up with the writers and demand more rights to Glim or somesuch if they feel like it.

I’d like to hide it when these people cook-up a storm, because they are starting to sound really insecure about their favorite sideshow not getting “her due” special treatment.

To be fair, she is her own pony, so most likely she’s off doing her own thing. Probably banging visiting Sunburst again, or something.

Comes with the territory of not being a main character. There’s plenty of other characters who don’t usually show when the story doesn’t concern them or necessitate their appearance to work. There’s no reason to feel singled out.
