Yeah, compared to actual photos of lions in similar poses it is a bit long. I just used the first one as a reference. Oh well. Knowledge with which to improve on in the future :D
Well, it’d be similar to a pony’s foreleg, albeit without the hoof. I mean, if you think about it, unguligrades are basically digitigrades with hooves replacing their toes (like oversized nails in a way), though there might be more to it than that that some up-and-coming zoologist would like to discuss with me about.
Possibly. Most of the time they’re like just a taur or a lion with wings. Not bad, but I really do prefer these kinds.
I honestly don’t know :P Lion anatomy is a wee bit out of my comfort zone.

Though I have to ask…is the forearm supposed to be that long? Seems abnormally long to me.
I absolutely adore this kind of sphinx, yet ironically it’s easily the least common way people draw them.
