I think they should have had Luna as a skeleton with bits of her mane and tail still somewhat intact and her eyes be white and dead as to show Ebenezer Glimmer what she will become if she does not change her ways because Luna is too much of a friendly face to be the thing that tell Glimmer that she will die along with the rest of Ponyville if she casts that spell.IMO
