In the beginning of Gauntlet of Fire, Rarity says, “For once I wish unicorn magic wasn’t so luminescent.”
So after 5 and a half seasons we finally have confirmation that the glowing is not an audience hallucination. Magic is even bright enough to potentially wake sleeping bats.
But I do want to see the embarrassment that follows.

She definitely couldn’t have seen the aura(s) untying her bikini top, the knot being behind her back.
I figured that as to her curiosity at it. I always assumed that the ‘glowing’ stuff was just for our visual benefit.
Nah, I think she cannot see that.
