I don’t like skinny looks because of magazines though don’t get that wrong, it’s just a personal preference, and if Ember’s vector is skinny maybe more draws of her should follow that, but don’t get me wrong I agree with a lot of what you said and is nothing wrong with making her different it only depends on the artist preference I suppose.
It might also be due to a subconscious backlash against what many people perceive as a “cultural preference” toward skinny features, a mischaracterization as the only real body of people that employ that kind of preference is the fashion industry, hardly a proper equivalent to normal society.
But it’s difficult for a lot of people to see all of the super skinny chicks on magazines and not think “This must be what everyone wants me/girls to be!”
It’s funny a whole bunch of new draws on first page right now and all follows this same thing, even though that is a suitable reason and may have others what bothers me is that no one seems interested in making her actually thin instead, if her vector is thin why not make a darn draw alike xD
I don’t get it for real

Wide hips, in general, show a good ability to birth young in bipedal mammals like humans. Much like big tits or a nice butt, they’re just signs of a healthy (and breedable) female form.
Because anthro.
