I was thinking something like this - it honestly doesn’t matter which is which, for if they were truly identical (though the episode actually made it very clear they weren’t. Clones didn’t know her friends’ names, for example, and were flanderized versions of herself), it wouldn’t. But in any case, it’d be really interesting if for a few unrelated episodes, she wore that hat, and then there was an episode where another Pinkie appears like,  
“Hey, guys, you know how you’ve had so much fun with me these last few days?…”  
“Yeah?”  
“Would you lock me in the bottom of a cave for the rest of forever?”  
“Of course not.”  
“Well that’s kind of what you did… You’ve actually spent the last few weeks with a clone while I was in Manehatten… I just wanted to prove that we should both be allowed to be free.”
