Sunburst-Ressesive overall.
Moondance-Physiolocal ressesive, personality dominant.
Twilight-Mostly dominant traits.
Starlight-Mostly dominant traits as well.
Trixie-Ressesive personality, middle term physiological.
Sunset-Dominant physiological, middle term personality.
In case you are wondering about what I’m talking about, trust me, I don’t know either, it’s just a “dominant ressesive” play. And when I speak about physiological, I mean magic power, Starswirl was gray as fuck, none of the characters here are gray or even grayish.

Well, even if you disregard the prequel comic where she displays her magical abilities, she was still Celestia’s student, so we can probably assume from that fact that she knew her way around magic, don’t you think?
Oh, also Sunburst had said in “The Crystalling” that, despite being learned in magic, he wasn’t a great magical performer, so we’re taking into account both magical knowledge AND power here.
How do you know that Sunset Shimmer is very magical? Starlight, Twilight, Sunburst, Moondancer and Trixie are so Magical but we don’t know ANYTHING about Sunset Shimmer’s Magic… And how do YOU know?
He lived over 1000 years in the show’s past. After that long, exempting isolated populations (e.g. the crystal empire), you either have no descendants or your entire species is your descendant.
(Though technically there’s no risk no matter how closely related they are, since horses have enough chromosomes to eliminate the negative consequences of inbreeding.)
@Marvelous TK
Blame Poe’s law for that. Because of the amount of retarded crap people spout on the Internet, there’s no way to tell whether people say it to be funny, for trolling purposes, or because they’re genuinely that dumb anymore (unless they explicitly state their sarcastic intention beforehand).
…And now I realize that your “overreacting” comment may just have been ironical as well and that you likely were already aware of what I just said, but I’ll leave my reply as it is because fuck that shit.

Also, in my headcanon, Trixie is descended from both Star Swirl AND King Sombra.

Best post of the thread.
Settle.
That’s about right (on the provision that they also have great magical skill and/or knowledge, of course).

IT SHOULD BE
Well 1/5 of marriage in the world is in between first cousin and it’s very common in the middles east.
Yep.
They’d have to be first cousins to be at any risk.
