Also, regarding your opinion of my commentary on your slight modification of someone else’s art, didn’t you earn that duck icon?
It’s not a crack theory. It’s an observation. Your failure to notice it occurring doesn’t change the fact that it does.
@Background Pony #4226
You mean a human society?
Provided you are in a society whose norms include the expectation that women need to be dependent on men and adding to that the possibility that the couple is well-off enough that both don’t need to work simultaneously, that is.
Why?
People who say things like “The real power of a woman is the work she can get men to do for her” with a straight face should really get used to the concept of being ignored, it’ll save you a lot of trouble in life.
..Please go away. I actually like this picture and would really prefer that the comment section for it not turn into a shouting match over gender relation cracktheories.
Why? Because I have the power of observation and you know you have no leg to stand on?
One tossed-off snarky comment is “belaboring”? Judging by that standard, you and your BP “cohort” have been raising some teal deer.
And if you seriously think Spike did all of the heavy work for Ember in that episode, I already know arguing with you is a lost cause. That’s why I didn’t address your point.
It didn’t, but the fact that you’re belaboring that point means you our oblivious to ours.
I’m sorry, I missed the part of the episode where it was specified that the winner had to run the gauntlet all on their own.
That was basically my whole point, thank you. The real power of a woman is the work she can get men to do for her. It’s not to be scoffed at, being very effective (I’ve been subject to it myself, as a teenager), but I don’t think it’s really a banner that should be waved with pride, either. Just one of those odd quirks of nature that works very strongly in favor of females who, like Rarity, Emma Watson, and Hillary Clinton, know how to employ it and do so without remorse or hesitation.
That’s nice, anon. The real point of the episode was friendship > doing whatever on your own.
Duh.
Except that Garble needed Spike to get unstuck from a rock in the first place.
The point that she won the competition to see who was the toughest and strongest individual, by getting a man to do all the heavy work for her, thus proving she was a strong independent woman who doesn’t need a man. How DID she prove that point then? To me it seems all she proved was that its easy to claim all the glory AFTER you get someone else to do all the work.
You missed the point entirely.
Except Ember would have drowned if not for a guy saving her.
Neither was she able to get past any other challenge in the gauntlet, without spike pulling her through, so even if she somehow hadn’t drowned, she would never have won the gauntlet on her own.
Garble was the only dragon shown to get through the gauntlet without cheating, by relying on others to get them through, so he should have won instead.
