Additionally, Japanese children’s content is more lenient with cartoons who punch other characters in the head. I’m pretty sure children are allowed to watch One Piece. XD

I wouldn’t say that. She’s the quickest to resort to violence sure, but she very rarely beats up other ponies over something so trivial like this. I’d have expected her to be polite or at least chide the waiter but not beat him up. Makes me wonder how she’d react if she found out ponies were bullying Fluttershy in Putting Your Hoof Down.
Yes I was one of those people oddly enough. Rainbow Dash I thought was male until I actually watched the show and heard her called female. I thought Angel Bunny was female for the longest time too until the show confirmed he was male.
I know the Japanese are fond of slapstick like this, but I would have expected this thing from Rumiko Takahashi (creator of Ranma 1/2 and Inuyasha) over a My Little Pony comic.
@Background Pony #1E46
Tell that to the hundreds of watchers who thought Rainbow Dash was a guy. And the people who can’t tell if a cartoon character is female because men have eyelashes IRL.
I have heard a lot of people mistaking Applejack and Rainbow Dash for guys at first.
As for the whole ‘violently overprotective’ thing, I think that’s a Japanese sort of slapstick comedy (just a guess though).
You can see RD uppercutting Twilight while not even looking at her on the 1st page of another comic ( >>1142032 ) , just because she was nearest to a stressed and exhausted Fluttershy, lol.

So Rainbow Dash is passively-aggressivly protective over Fluttershy to the point where she’ll kick the ass of any pony who dares to look at her cross eyed or something?
FlutterDash confirmed. We all know who wears the horseshoes in that relationship right? Not saying it’s a domestic abuse relationship but I can’t imagine Rainbow Dash beating up a waiter pony just because Fluttershy couldn’t talk louder. Even if they were a couple. You’d think she’d adhere to Fluttershy’s wishes and not be violently protective over her.
The Japanese have an… interesting way of interpreting Rainbow Dash.
This is what MLP should have been about throughout all seasons, not about crappy new OCs and BPs every new episode but about the brilliant and unique main cast that helped the show achieve its peak popularity. I miss the good old days where the actual character development and interaction among mane6 was still a thing :(
So it has to say their gender and pony tribe, but only Twilight and Rainbow get a blurb after it. It’s like you know the two “most important” ones and the rest.

Rainbow Dash has pretty violent personality overall. :T

You say that like it’s not a thing.
I thought it was funny and cute though lol
Rarity: A female unicorn.
The Fluttershy and Rainbow bit is hilariously easy to read as shippy too.
No Scoot in this section of the book neither…
