I’ve been around just a little bit longer than Shon. I’m from the Minneapolis area, and I remember reading about Prince in local music magazines way back in the late 1970s. I liked his music, though I was never a huge fan. The drawing was created originally for a set of TSSSF cards as a promotion for MLP-MSP. I finished the artwork just weeks before Prince died. Sydney Armstrong came up with the text and turned it into a tribute to him.
He’s an American singer and songwriter.

I wonder if it’s as long or longer than Shon “King-Cheetah” Howell? I have comics featuring his art from 1994!
