Maybe they can take a risk, what can they loose?, maybe a basic platformer (2D or 3D)
The difference is that those are made with little boys in mind, little girls on the other hand in Hasbo’s eyes aren’t in to video games.
What about the Transformers’ games?, some of them are decent, maybe with enough effort they can make a superb MLP game

Well, likely with the same thing with Enterplay. Hasbro has Wizards of the Coast, there was no reason they couldn’t keep it in house, but licensing deals help to reduce the risk to the licensing company.
I have a feeling Hasbro didn’t recognize that potential, given that its taken them this long to get an idea like Guardians of Harmony as an official product that has cross-generation, cross-gender appeal.
Makes sense. It’s is probably also cheaper for Hasbro that way.
On the other hand, it indicates that Hasbro apparently has no plans on making its own RPG.
Also I love how, the comment section, of the interview, is filled with parents, who plan to use it as a gateway into the world of RPGs. _
I listened to the interview, and here it sounds like the guy had this idea for the pony RPG (it is pen-and-paper-type), and approached Hasbro to secure the license for it. In other words, Hasbro didn’t come up with the idea which they could have farmed out to WOTC, for example.
Actually, you have a valid point there. I mean Hasbro owns Wizards of the Coast now, and that’s goddamn D&D right there on their doorstep. They could have done this one in-house.
