Nopony’s perfect.
Also @Background Pony #107C I have to ask what in the world you’re talking about regarding melodrama past Season 2. Outside of the season finales and openers pretty much all of the normal episodes are pretty similar to one another in tone.
That’s also why I don’t like the show past season 2… >_>
Spike’s level of maturity fluctuates wildly, so it’s often difficult to pin down. Also, perhaps it’s just me, but I see more people complain about how it’s supposedly bad writing whenever Spike does or says anything wrong.
Now I imagine Celestia’s serene smile is all an act while inwardly she goes crap crap crap everything’s going to horseapples aaargh.
I don’t see how that’s possible.
Not necessarily an either/or question. If you believe her acting dumb is too out of character for her, you’ll think it’s poor writing. In the comic universe’s context, where Celestia risked the destruction of two dimensions because she missed her boyfriend and ended up losing him because he sacrificed his sanity and goodness to save them all… you tell me.
Does the character act dumb, or is she just written poorly?
Weeeell…
That is consistent with how the comics did it so far. And that’s not hating on them, I’m not saying it’s bad they did it that way, but Celestia tends to act a little… dumb, now and again.
Edited
Mhh that since the show aires. Bronies accuse Tia to do nothing but give Twi and her friends the work to do.
Blew it? I’d say this is a perfectly reasonable kind of response for a child that’s been asked to care for another living being out of the blue and is getting majorly stressed about it.
