If you’re new you may want to look at the tag guidelines and possibly the primer and rules to better help familiarize yourself with how the site works.
It’s not against the rules, but there are still better sites that are more suited for this type of thing. Either way, there’s a difference between criticism and hate; and people are still welcome to dislike anything they want.
Until there’s an actual rule about it, it’s fair game. I’m honestly a little tired of the douchebags that just hate anything cute and/or innocent done here. They can leave for all I care, either that or get the stick removed from their bodily orifices.
Dislikes aren’t mainly from butthurt people you know? Also, you say that as if anything with dislikes is just people “suffering” and being “butthurt” about it. It isn’t really an indication they’re “suffering” more, it’s an indication they don’t like something. I have not rated any of this person’s images, because nor do I like or dislike them.
Criticism can be given to the way they’re doing this. When it comes to asking the character about things, it’s really hard to do so when you know almost nothing about the character. Why should we be asking them questions? Why should someone care about the answer?
Frankly, Derpibooru isn’t really the place to be doing this type of thing, which is probably part of the reason people are disliking this, or maybe it’s the OC themselves they don’t like. Complaining about dislikes is not the way to gain people’s good side. Asking about what people dislike about it and then improving with the feedback you get is how you handle it. Telling them to not dislike their stuff and even posting an image about the fact they’re getting so many dislikes isn’t the way to handle it.
Oohp, you seem to have fixed the speech bubbles since then :q
@Gyroido
Eh, keep doing it. I like to see the grumps suffer, and the more downvotes they place, that’s an indication that they’re suffering more.
Also you’ll really want to use multiple lines of text. A single line runs into the edges of the speech bubble as you see.
And punctuation makes a big difference sometimes…
For example:
@Rihanna bell pepper
Adding punctuation:
and
Are two different things Xp
You seem nice enough so I’m pretty sure you meant the second one, but I think you get the point on grammar. In case you haven’t heard it; punctuation can save lives:
“Let’s eat, grandpa!” is very different from “Let’s eat grandpa!” XD
Telling people to not dislike your stuff is probably one of the main things that provokes more people to dislike your stuff. It’s also not really a good idea to do this sort of thing on here.
Aww thank you
sorry, but the users on this website aren’t merciful
I like your skill but yeah, the text should be bigger… or you could just get a stylus for the iPad and draw the speech bubble instead (i presume you have good handwriting)
You may want to increase your font size in the speech bubble.
Crop off what you won’t be needing.
Add a little more detail to the character.
I am not sure what can really be done with an ipad though.
