I have no right to judge people, especially fans of a show I love. So, I don’t. At the end of the day, ours is a fandom filled with all sorts of people, and nothing any of us say will change who they are anyway, do there’s no point in making ourselves look like dicks online trying to prove how superior we are over any segment of the fandom, or society by extension.

You will get no sympathy from me, good sir.
 
I am rather tired of people losing or gaining faith in bronies. Are some assholes? Yes. Are some good? Yes.
 
Is there a difference between fans of the show and bronies? To me, no. To some, yes.
 
Everyone is an individual. Either take them as that, hate everyone, or love everyone. Stop killing yourself by bouncing back and forth.
 
Also, what is it that makes people lose faith in bronies to start with? I just don’t get that. This coming from a Christian who stopped believing in God, the irony that may or may not exist is realized.

I don’t think humanity is generally full of assholes.  
At worst, we are animals trying to survive (excluding the true sociopaths that is).

^What Ripple_Shine said. Stop defining the fandom by the individuals contained therein. Anybody can be a fan of anything, and what they are a fan of does not define either their personality or character.
 
The thing I think makes this fandom in particular great is hinted at in your upload OP: The fact that we are, as fans, so self-aware of our own fandom. It is precisely this willingness to criticize and address the negative aspects of the fandom that makes it great. This is the first fandom of its size that I have come across that is willing to do this, and this is what endears me to these fans.

It’s an all too common fallacy, I find, to believe that one’s worth as an individual is derived from the groups they associate with. Trust me, OP, you’re putting the cart before the horse here.

Step back from the Internet for a while. Watch a few episodes. Enjoy them.
 
There’s jerks in every fandom, and if you stay online for too long you’re bound to run into some of them.

I am. And I know I’m focusing on the vocal minority. But I don’t see why people even want to be labeled, let alone because of what they watch.

But you’re also making a blanket generalisation that people who identify as bronies also consider themselves superior and whatnot. You’re judging an awful lot of people by a very vocal subgroup. I consider myself a brony, but neither I nor anyone else I personally know who does so treats it as some sort of virtuous quality that indicates enlightenment, nor do we think we’re some sort of movement making the world a better place. We just like ponies. A lot. Your negative stance against people who call themselves bronies just because they call themselves that is getting strongly reminiscent of /co/ and /mlp/, and it was even more stupid there.

Looking back, I really shot myself in the foot there.
 
I have low opinion of bronies. I don’t have a low opinion of fans of the show. To me, there is a difference.

I’ve always had and probably will continue to have a fairly low opinion of bronies for a number of reasons. They’re no better than any other fans, yet they claim superiority because their show promotes friendship or whatever.  
OP has a lot of my sympathy (maybe empathy if I knew specifics).  
That being said, I try to make my time here as compassionate and humble as I can be.  
My main advice is to look at individuals rather than the collective.

I guess alot of yall aren’t part of the sonic fandom like me. I’ve been there 15+ years and my little bronies aint shown me nothin i havent seen yet.
