Yeah I keep coming back to this because it’s sad-cute by this point but the way this started makes the whole thing bittersweet at best because this really isn’t healthy. The typical “I did the bad thing but made up for it so it’s okay I’m a good person” thing really bothers me when it’s used as an excuse for domestic abuse. I know it’s just a meme, and I don’t think the artist is really abusive like that or even condones this behavior, but it’s a little unsettling because this is exactly what real world abusive relationships are like, and when they make up irl it’s still not healthy.
 
The premise of the comic is also kind of trapped by the fact it had to be concise and quick-to-the-point, so there couldn’t be much context in part one, but that’s also what makes anon really unforgivable. The fact this happened to begin with is bad enough, but the trigger for the physical abuse is so minor it makes it hard to enjoy this series if you think too deeply on it. I would have wished the way she got hurt was some kind of accident, or at least a slap instead of a punch, and with way WAY more heat/aggression/hurtfulness as a prompt for anon’s reaction.

I know this is an abusive relationship but Trixie is still really cute here
