Twi and her Canterlot friends are all three pairs of recolors.
At the very least, it does seem they used Twi’s unicorn model as a base, then gave her nappy hair and her cute sweater.
She’s not quite a recolour. Other than the ‘young’ mane, she has a different cutie mark, wears mane differently/it’s scruffier than Twi’s, she doesn’t have 6 lashes, big eyebrows, has glasses/clothes, no wings!
Isn’t it neat how everyone on here can accept simple recolors playing roles in specific episodes?
