Perhaps. I’m not entirely sure if that would be an appropriate view, but it’s an opinion nonetheless and it does give me some information. You can be sure it was helpful! :)
 
Anyway, regarding the situation. It does mainly remind me of that, but there’s tons of factors that go into it. For someone like me, I don’t believe someone should be let off scott free just because they’re a mod. To my knowledge, that mod wasn’t questioned in any way, meaning corruption is free to roam as long as it’s a mod.
 
Now, on a larger picture of it, yes, it’s mostly irrelevant to people who didn’t see what went on, but I don’t believe that’s entirely the point. More or less, it’s an inside joke of sorts. I felt it sort of funny how someone of such a status would be understanding of their position, but I was informed that they were new and questionable as a mod at best BY a mod I know, so it’s more of a position of laughter than anything. I find it almost hilarious how someone could act in a meanacing manner but have absolutely no truth to their claim. I’m quite sure many people have laughed at me for such things, and I have no doubt MANY people here see me as that guy you don’t talk to. I was branded as “stupid” and “too much” by the owner. I’m quite sure at some point there was a discussion of sorts to label me and do whatever is possible to scrutinize because no, I don’t trust the mods and for fairly good reasons. The same reasons you don’t trust random strangers to do anything nice out of anything.
 
However, none of that changes the fact that I found the entire thing funny in hindsight. If others don’t, that’s fine, but I’m not sure it makes me an asshole. I’m reminded every say of the stupid shit I did on this site alone and it’s emotional pain. Everyone experiences it and nobody should be left out of it because to leave it out would be to leave out reality and learning.
 
Trying hard is extremely exaggerated for this situation, by the way. I couldn’t care one way or another if the mod read this or not. Personally, I feel they should reflect on what they did. Realistically, I don’t believe I’m making drama at all unless other people believe they should share an opinion on it. It’s not drama unless others join in, and it’s not a big deal if it’s just a few people. I don’t believe there’s any drama, but more of a, “Yes this happened, let’s have a little laugh!” Same thing as me admitting that I had an embarrassing childhood and had some bowel problems for quite some time. The people that know laugh at it and love that they’re better for it.
 
So no, I’m not making drama. If you really want to discuss it, why not in a private message or on Skype so I can’t be bothered with prying eyes as to, yes, make it less dramatic, right?

That is an impressive stretch to bring up how totes offended you are at your perceived sleight, unprovoked.
 
I wonder if it ever occurs to you that the fact that you have to try so hard and go out of your way to try and make drama where there is none is why we perceive you as the asshole in the situation regardless of any possible factual truth behind your claims?
