unless you’re financially dependent on the commissions, you don’t have to keep doing them. If that’s the only thing holding you back, then just stop taking them. I mean, finish up the ones you’ve already agreed to, of course, but don’t take any more. Just tell everyone, you want some time to work on your own stuff. Most people will understand, and If they don’t and it pisses some people of, well fuck them. They’re selfish assholes that care more about what you can make for them than they care about you.

Because I have commissions. I would love to get back what I like to do with my other account. It is lacking a lot. People are confused with my OCs, and I like to write that fanfic. So, maybe someday. And also next time, I shouldn’t compare myself to the greats like that.

plus I think part of the issue isn’t your art quality, so much as the subject matter. I’m assuming the other artist you’re talking about is kilala97 or lopoddity(I never go to EQD, but they’re the only artist I know known for their next 6), and they both do art of their next 6 in many, many different situations, all interacting with each other to the point that they’ve built up their own entire versse with story and continuity and everything.
 
you, on the other hand, do almost entirely individual pregnancy stuff and nothing else.
 
it’s not just about the art itself, but also the outside context. They may have done a pregnancy piece, but since it’s just one part in their expanded verses, they find it cute or whatevs. Whereas since you only do pregnancy stuff, they’re more likely to see it as fetish material

When they look at mine, they find it disgusting. And now, people just shit on my next mane 6. I’m just born and doomed to be a loser forever. 5 years in college for nothing.

Are you guys really not liking the green coating? So many downvotes because I choose green. What the hell is wrong with green? I know the parents are blue, but does it really matter? I kind of thought green because St. Patrick’s Day, with green and a rainbow. Sheesh. At least their son is blue in my canon, then again, nobody cares.

Pony colors don’t seem to work that way; we’ve seen purple from white and blue, beige from light blue and dark yellow, and hot pink from gray and dark tan, so it seems like coat coloration is fairly random.
