Theory: Alternate Nightmare Moon finds a way to the prime timeline and possesses a pony like Rarity was in the comics. This pony has enormous amounts of jealousy to exploit and becomes to Twilight what Luna is to Celestia. After this pony defeats Twilight, like Celestia was defeated in the seriers premiere, Starlight must swoop in and stop this. Thus claiming her rightful place in the group and saving this pony from Nightmare Moon’s influence.
