At some point all major villains would have fought each other over complete control over Equestria. I can see this alternate universe as the end result of a final war between the last standing evils. Leaving nothing behind but a dusty world fueled by the intent of control and lack of the power of friendship. . .

Remember when we watched multicolored horses obsessing over having the perfect dresses for a fancy party for an entire 20 minutes?
How in the name of all the fucks are these episodes the same show as that
 
I really liked that episode, it had good tension and resolution of the dispute.
