So you basically came to a Spikebelle picture just to say how you don’t like the ship, that you don’t care about Spike, and confirming that you’re mistakenly assuming other people’s reasons for shipping what they ship.

Have you tried, I dunno, going to a SweetieXRumble pic to talk about how much you like it, instead of annoying others by coming here and spread negativity about something other people like more? There’s already far too much “I don’t like this because it has Spike in it” crap already. Be a good sport and help reduce the problem.

Whatever, I just glad this ship getting less attention in the last few months and I don’t care about Spike that much, like I say before, I don’t see the appeal about this shipping at all.

And I prefer Sweetie Belle to be ship with Rumble, it’s just my opinion.

But we don’t. That’s the thing so many people continue to fail at grasping- most of us who actually ship Spikebelle see the potential for a cute relationship between the two based on their personalities and the few interactions they have, not the fact that Sweetie is Rarity’s little sister. Hell, I know I’m not the only one who ships them that finds the idea of shipping them based solely on that prospect to be wrong. Whether or not it’s going to happen is irrelevant since people always ship things that will never be canon. It’s fine if you don’t ship it yourself, but please don’t assume the reasons why people do ship them, especially if you’re only going to look down on them for it.

You’re setting a bad example. Any humor derived from that is pretty base, and a relationship built on that wouldn’t last long at all and would be super unhealthy while it did last. It’s why those of us who ship it ignore that sort of justification and focus on those two. Now, Ambris did draw something about Spike and Rarity giving dating a shot only to find there wasn’t really a spark between them, but later Spike was hanging out with Sweetie and they really hit it off and wound up dating, and that’s fine. That sort of event doesn’t depict Sweetie as a “backup plan” or “silver medal”- it’s built on the fact that things didn’t work out between Spike and Rarity, but he was able to find a much more functional and happy relationship with Sweetie as a result of that failure. Things just happen like that sometimes, and strange as it might be, it doesn’t depict Sweetie as “Rarity 2.0” or being lesser to Rarity in Spike’s eyes or the viewer’s. That’s the type of relationship between the two that we enjoy.

Blah. I just spent 15 minutes typing about pony/dragon relationships. I need to rethink my life.

No I don’t find using Sweetie Belle as a fill-in for Rarity is hilarious at all, I find it to be very annoying.

And I don’t know why this ship become popular, those two barely interact with each other on the show and will never gonna happen.

I find it to be ridiculous that you SpikeBelle shippers use Sweetie Belle as a backup plan to replace lost love, she too a character for that.

That’s nice and all, but I feel like your time could be used a lot better by going to pictures with those ships and leaving positive comments or upvoting them instead of being negative here.
