Me neither. until i knew that Friendship is Magic existed, i thought of My Little Pony as a thing of the 80’s.
That is basically the definition of being a geek.
That quote was second in line. A good one all the same.
No, but the fact they wanted archery and motocross and roller skating to match the toys was what threw a wrench into any coherent script.
Sports aren’t girly though…
@Vree
It’s actually interesting, Josh was on the Bronyville podcast just before FG came out, and spoke that basically Hasbro said “here are the toys, it involves sports, write around that.” And if you take out that section of FG, you can sorta see how forced that part is. Same applies to the show too.
Josh isn’t an animator silly, the pink paint isn’t his doing.
Hasbro: Hey Josh, put more pink Princess Paint on the Friendship Express in the next script so that it matches the Royal Wedding playset, k?
Josh: Got it.
For everyone. Yeeeah. Right.
Dat evil, evil prejudice!
Yep. I will admit I sort had the “little girls’ show” misconception when I first stumbled upon the show. But I just ignored it and kept on randomly wandering the TV listings. I didn’t see any reason to do otherwise. Of course, that changed quickly.
