Now that I have a PS4, I’m tempted to buy Doom 2016 again for it. For one, my computer isn’t actually really able to handle the game. It’s playable (at least I finished it on HMP), but that’s the most positive thing I can say for it. In fact, for many people’s standards it probably wouldn’t even be that. So, having a way of running it “properly”, even if it’s just on a console, is pretty attractive.
Then, of course, I want a physical copy (I got the PC version of the Humble Store). I mean, who wouldn’t want a game with
that cover to call their own? Even the fact that it’s a reverse cover is a plus in my case, since that means no ugly, excessively huge age ratings.
Also, I’m rather unwilling to uninstall the game on my PC, even though (and partly because) it eats a ludicrous amount of space. Having another version would take care of that.
And it’s Doom. With games that great, one can safely get multiple versions without feeling like it’s too much. Hell, if the first two games were on PSN, I’d probably get them again.
