I had a hunch it was actually all the hidden “murder” subroutines gaining independence and tricking you using Baby’s voice chip.

Tried Plains of Eidolon, just enough to learn where all the shops and places are and get a glimpse of the titular Eidolon.
 
Should probably have invested in more Focus stuff first.

I like my version better. It makes Ennard’s revenge more satisfying, and as Matt pointed out, the place was made for child experiment, hence why there are blueprints of Freddy with a child in his chest cavity and tens of bots going against their programming.

Hot dog, the nemesis system really has improved.
 
Got my first recruit down, told him to retreat because the battlefield was literally still hot. Had to finish up with the other dude that crashed our party, but nearly died. And who should come to my rescue but the guy i recruited not but a few minutes ago, to rip his head clean off. Only room for one wild orc in this army for now.
 
Then, without missing a beat, i get ambushed by a bodyguard of one the region’s warchiefs. The game, struggling to catch its breath at this point, quickly tutourialized assigning bodyguards just in time for my guy to chase the Militant away.
 
 
This game is fucking fantastic and I’m just getting started.
