Just before Pride Week, Star Wars Youtubers The Scoundrel’s Cantina decited it would be a smart to upload a video called “Everything WRONG With Star Wars The Rise Of Skywalker So Far & Identity Politics Are DANGEROUS!”, in which they liken the LGBT community to pedophiles, implicitly promote fascism and at one point even go as far to directly refer to gay, trans and pan people as “unnatural sexualities that have no place in Star Wars”. I was wondering if you’d like to tear them a new one?

Disney has already experienced how unprofitable it is to pander to those crazy wack-jobs when Solo was a box office bomb. They won’t actually have any impact on the Star Wars franchise because the real audience overwhelmingly prefers the new movies over fanbrat pandering.
Every Star Wars movie EXCEPT Solo was derided as pushing “identity politics” and every Star Wars movie EXCEPT Solo broke a billion dollars.
The Cybernazi brigade is just moving on from their embarrassingly failed “Get Woke Go Broke” meme and has decided to just go right into overtly fascist proselytizing in the hopes of gaslighting people into thinking they actually hated those movies like they did the last set of Star Wars movies that didn’t pander directly to them.
Bear in mind that the highest grossing Pre-Disney Star Wars film was The Phantom Menace.
Additionally the cybernazis are having a harder and harder time recruiting people who have financial independence. The most they can actually do is indoctrinate First Day On The Internet kids who end up reaching adulthood being de-gaslit by the increasingly profitable genre of dragging conservative mouthpieces.
As much as breadtube likes to imagine itself to be classy and dignified and has been lately trying to be “respectful” and “reaching out”, the whole “dragging someone and mocking them for being obviously wrong” has historically been one of the most effective ways of de-radicalizing people. People like a slinging match, it’s what made neo-nazis so good at gaslighting people to begin with, and it’s becoming more and more common to see people on the left just take a massive hammer to conservative rhetoric.
In an era where people like Moviebob and Jim Sterling exist, conservatives are seeing increasingly diminishing returns on being able to gaslight children.

What is the difference between a Nazi and a Neo-Nazi to you? Cause I saw that you labeled certain people as one or the other on your ban list, and I’ve mostly ever seen it used to distinguish between modern Right-Wing Extremists and WW2 Era Nazis.

This is the criteria I use.

Nazi - Active member of nazi groups (Alt Right, GOP, Stormfront, Brietbart, ect)
Eg: Steve Bannon, Donald Trump, Richard Spencer, Hardline Republican Voters, The Golden One, ect

Neo-Nazi - Supporter of the above Nazi groups/ideals, not actual member.
Eg: Sinclair, Fox News, ect

Nazi Sympathizer - Treats Nazis with delicate gloves while constantly demonizing the left. Will be labeled as Nazi or Neo-Nazi depending on additional behavior.
Eg: Ink Rose

Nazi Apologist - Either intentional or accidental treatment of Nazis as people who deserve empathy while ignoring or downplaying their atrocities and their advocacy of genocide. This is a label of actions and not of character, and as such Hanlon’s Razor applies at one’s own discretion.
Eg: Rebecca Sugar

Do you think that, if played correctly, Sonata Dusk could possibly be redeemed properly? I don’t trust the writers enough to want this, but if she suffered consequences for her actions and went through a redemption arc that wasn’t 2 seconds long, could she possibly be redeemed? She was the least aggressive and least mean out of the three Sirens, and I honestly think her personality is largely influenced by outside factors, so if she had a good redemption arc, she might have joined the main 6.

I beg to differ on the “least mean.” She was just a ditz.

As for redemption, I’m just so tired of redemption and how overused they are these days that I don’t entertain the idea. When the problem is “too much redemption” trying to find the “right way” to do it is missing the problem.

I will scream this towards the void that is Jerry’s (lack of a) brain until I’m blue in the face: Jerry’s scope of content consumption is so hilariously limited and specifically geared towards children media that he literally cannot comprehend the fact that the trend he’s complaining about isn’t as prevalent in stories that aren’t filled with colorful cartoon ponies or kids that he can project his lesbian fantasies onto.

You see this in the way he completely disregards media made for adults.

Tolkien is a hack who’s legendary story of LOTR and the Hobbit are stupid because they’re complexly told while being simple stories at their core; completely disregarding the language that Tolkien created for the manner of which his stories are told being unheard of and innovative for their time and the drama being told through a much more cinematic and intense lens than it’s contemporaries.

Clint Eastwood is a toxically inclined masculine male who’s movie are stupid projections of how manly he thinks he is; never mind most of his movies are deconstructions of this attitude, most specifically The Mule and Gran Torino, where despite usually being the protagonist, Eastwood’s characters are intensely flawed, yet sympathetic people who go through heavy drama that’s realistic not in events but in tone and perception. Not that his movies don’t tend to have 100% happy endings and are pretty grim.

Even something like Thanos (I really can’t believe I’m going here) is shelled off into bad-dom by Jerry because “Oh his plan is stupid”, willingly deciding to be disingenuous about why people found him to be one of the most compelling characters in the MCU. Less important to Jerry is the story being told and the personal strife that the characters go through; all he cares about is the cathartic and childish nature of story-telling where he gets what he wants without complication or contribution.

How dare Steven Universe not just be about clam-spanking color ladies how dare it have a plot and vaguely remind me of Nazis in the loosest context possible?

How dare My Little Pony not just be about dumb-baby jokes and clam-spanking color pony ladies how dare it cater to the children who are growing up with the t.v show and want to see more from the characters and themes than just mindless entertainment?

Mr. Nuance Man Jerry Peet can hide his childish desires behind all the big words all he wants; his scope of content and how he goes about criticizing media is as petulant and childish and unchallenging as a toddler’s perception of shadow art using sand. Never let him convince you otherwise and never fall for the smoke-screen.
