She alright. And in a deleted scene she bit that little bitch Hux so that makes her ok in my book. I guess the one thing people don’t like about her was how she saved Finn and did that love speech. It would have been a lot better if just said “Our orders were to fall back, so fucking fall back” or something like that instead of that cringy speech and kiss

Anyone here besides me know of real SW fan groups dedicated to getting at least some of the pre-Disney EU to be re-instated into canon in one way or another so that it can co-exist with the new canon? Damn you Pablo “flat lore” Hidalgo and your ass-kissing!

I know that there has been some examples of the Old expanded universe being restored in the new expanded universe like Grand Admiral thrawn.

They put quite a few things from the old EU back into canon, things like the Interdictor Cruiser, the Hammerhead Corvette, the TIE Defender and a few charachters as well.  
But non of the stories have been put back into canon so far. Thought it might have been possible to put a lot of things back in. But they decided to limited them self with their Aftermath Trilogie. They could have made new versions of the Thrawn trilogy or the X-Wing series, but the decided against such things.  
I guess they want to keep things open until episode IX is finished, and then instead of having books and comics they will put a lot of the more interesting stuff into TV-Series and Spinoff movies. After all, a movie or series about Luke Jedi Praxeum would be interesting, you could fill a trilogy with the stuff that must have had happened to Luke. The early years how he searches for artefacts and becomes a true Master of the Force, how he founded his academy and started to rebuild the order, and then how he took in Ben and how it all got destroyed. That alone could be like three seasons of a new animated series.

I’m surprised that we still know so little about Yoda’s past, especially his species, home planet, and how he became a Jedi.

So the Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures micro shorts just dropped on Youtube link  
And honestly while the animation looks fine, not a big fan of these, seems to take away a lot of the emotions and depth the original scenes had in favor of cool looking stunts and humor

Also Boba Fett escaping from the Sarlacc’s stomach is apparently still a thing in the current canon, although unlike the old EU there’s yet to be a story dedicated to it.

Yeah, I guess disney is sticking with the rule that George Lucas made about Yoda’s backstory for the moment.

I like to think that George Lucas is destroying his entire house because the same people who attacked and mocked him for creating the prequels for a decade now suddenly love the prequels because Disney bad

Honestly, the only fans who still outright hate the prequels are the ones who stubbornly insist that the only star wars movies that should even exist are the original versions of the original trilogy. It’s essentially the group of fans that Quibble Pants from “Stranger than Fan Fiction” is referencing. I’m one of the fans who enjoys all of the star wars movies. I even have the Ewok movies.

I wonder what kind of purpose the Death Star would have served if the Separatists had won or even built it during the clone wars?

I still think the PT is deeply flawed. Anakin isn’t written that well, most of the dialogue is in need of a rewrite, less CGI would have been better, and I still don’t understand what made Padme fall for Anakin.  
Than there’s the Podrace, which is far too long for something that’s not story relevant. And Jar Jar and little Ani will always be annoying.
 
And yet, I can not say that I hate those movies. It is just George Lucas tried to do everything alone, control everything, and was surounded by yes sayers. A few more creative people from the OT influencing the PT and it would have been much better.

The Seps would’ve figured out some way to make money off of it. Its leaders weren’t that much different from a criminal syndicate.

You’re hardly alone on that. We’re 2/3 the way through Disney’s “new and improved” trilogy, but it’s safe to say it’ll not be quite as terrible (or terribly funny) as the PT.

I think most people focus on the story where he successfully escapes and decides to hunt for Han solo once more.

Star wars resistance definitely becomes more interesting starting with Episode 4.
